To encourage understanding of the significance of maintaining the ecological integrity and environmental protection and their importance in improving the quality of life in the community and surrounding areas;
To promote public education, awareness, and events related to conservation and environmental protection;
To promote the conservation of the quality and quantity of drinking water and the protection of wetlands;
As a Land Trust ACRE’s mandate includes the acquisition and conservation in perpetuity of ecologically significant lands in the municipality of Chelsea and other municipalities surrounding Gatineau Park.
Charity
As a registered charity, ACRE will issue an official tax receipt for any donation or membership payments. These receipts can be used for income tax purposes.
